861ORDINANCE NO. 6
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REIMBURSEMENT
OF THE COSTS OF THE PHYSICAL EXAMINATION REQUIRED
FOR EMPLOYMENT BY THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA
TO ALL EMPLOYEES WHO HAVE COMPLETED A PERIOD OF 90
DAYS OF SERVICE WITH THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THEREFORE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA:
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the City of Edgewater that all
prospective employees undergo a physical examination prior to their
employment by the City of Edgewater, and,
WHEREAS, the City of Edgewater is desirous of assuming this cost
of the prospective employee who serves a certain period with the City of
Edgewater,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. Upon the completion of 90 days of continuous service
to the City of Edgewater, Florida, any employee required to submit to a
physical examination prior to employment and required to pay the cost of
same shall be reimbursed for said costs by the City of Edgewater, Florida.
SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect retroactively to the
Air day of 6) ,A.D., 1973.
SECTION 3. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances and all
Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption by the City Council and approval by the Mayor at second reading.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise this
Ordinance as required by law.
The first reading of the above Ordinance was read in full and passed
by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a Renutw4 r
meeting of said Council held on the 5th day of November , A.D.,
1973 and approved as provided by law.
