853ORDINANCE NO. 853 AN ORDINANCE SETTING A TENTATIVE BUDGET AND APPROPRIATING REVENUES TO BE COLLECTED FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY FLORIDA FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING, OCTOBER 1, 1973, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER3O',1974 TO THE VARIOUS ITMES OF THE CITY BUDGET. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That the following amount of monies are anticipated to be collected from the sources of revenue of the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, during the Fiscal year beginning October 1, 1973 and ending September. 30, 1974, to -wit: ESTIMATED INCOME Taxes $119,121.00 Building permits 5,500.00 Electric permits 2,150.00 Plumbing permits 1,149.00 Business and Occupational licenses 2,000.00 Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses 2,000.00 Fines and Forfietures 25,850.00 Miscellaneous 3,000.00 Cigarette Tax 16,500.00 Franchise Rebate 19,500.00 Community Center 750.00 Garbage and Trash Collections 41,000.00 Office Rent 1,200.00 Accumulated Surplus 114,000.00 Mobile Home Tags 5,000.00 County Occupational License Rebate 450.00 Revenue Sharing Act of 1972 (State) 80,000.00 $439,170.00 SECTION 2. That from the aforesaid anticipated monies to be collected from the sources of revenue asaforementioned, the same be and they are hereby appropriated to the following purposes in the following amounts during the fiscal year be- ginning October 1, 1973 and ending September 30, 1974, to -wit: ESTIMATED EXPENDITURES General Government $120,453.00 Garbage Department 64,880.00 Road Maintenance 61,516.00 e' I Street Paving and Improvements $21,152.00 Tools and Barn Equipment 1,288.00 Humane Society 1,383.00 Park Maintenance and Recreation 5,492.00 Street Lights 20,088.00 Police Department 80,848.00 Fire Department 10,566.00 Community Center 5,956.00 Library 5,000.00 Fire Hydrants 5,200.00 Emergency 8 tncontingency 15,500.00 Drainage 18,388.00 Capital Outlay 115.00 Civil Defense 115.00 Administrator 115.00 Equipment Renewal and Replacement 1,115.00 $439,170.00 SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Edgewater, be and she is hereby directed to appropriate such anticipated revenue as set forth in Section 1, herein to the respective purposes set forth in Section 2, herein as and when the above described and designated revenues are received and collected. SECTION 4. That all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION S. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council and approval by the Mayor. The first reading of the above Ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edge- water, Florida at the regular meeting of the Council held on the 17th day of September, 1973, and approved as provided by law.
