835c ORDINANCE NO. 835 AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE FISCAL YEAR OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, THE NEW FISCAL YEAR TO BEGIN ON OCTOBER 1ST OF EACH YEAR AND TO END ON SEPTEMBER 30TH OF EACH YEAR AND FURTHER PROVIDING THAT THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR SHALL END ON SEPTEMBER 30, 1973 AND THE NEW FISCAL YEAR FOR THE FISCAL PERIOD 1973 THROUGH 1974, SHALL BEGIN ON OCTOBER 1, 1973 AND SHALL END ON SEPTEMBER 30, 1974, AND FURTHER PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THEREFORE. W H E R EA S , the City of Edgewater has the authority pursuant to Section 109 of the Charter of the City of Edgewater to change the fiscal year of the City of Edgewater, and WHEREAS, in compliance with House Bill 1176 as it establishes Section 218.33, sub -paragraph 1 of Florida Statutes in regard to the fiscal year of municipalities beginning on October 1st and ending on September 30th of each year in order to be entitled to State Revenue Sharing Funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1 . That the fiscal year of the City of Edgewater is hereby established as beginning on October 1st and ending on September 30th of each year. SECTION 2. That the current fiscal year shall end on September 30, 1973 and the new fiscal year shall begin on October 1, 1973 and end on September 30, 1974. SECTION 3. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances and all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council and approval by the Mayor. SECTION 5. That a certified copy of this Ordinance shall be made available to the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Volusia County, and to the Secretary of State of the State of Florida. `sa The above Ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 2nd day of July, A.D. 1973. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the requirement of reading said Ordinance upon second reading was waived and the Ordinance was ordered put upon final passage.
