AN ORDINANCE SETTING TIMES AND PLACES
FOR INFORMAL WORKSHOP MEETINGS OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA; PROVIDING THAT ALL MEETINGS
SHALL BE OPEN AT ALL TIMES TO THE PUBLIC;
PROVIDING THAT PARTICIPATION, IF ANY, BY
THE PUBLIC AT ANY INFORMAL MEETING MAY BE
LIMITED BY THE CITY COUNCIL; PROVIDING NO
FORMAL ACTION SHALL BE TAKEN BY THE CITY
COUNCIL AT AN INFORMAL WORKSHOP MEETING;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE THEREFOR.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the City Council does hereby set
the Thursday evening immediately preceding the first
monthly formal meeting of the City Council and the Thurdsay
evening immediately preceding the second monthly formal
meeting of the City Council as informal workshop meetings,
said meetings to begin on said days at 7 o'clock P.M.
SECTION 2. That said informal meetings shall be held
in the City Hall, space permitting, or if space does not
permit, in the Community Center of the City of Edgewater,
Florida.
SECTION 3. That said informal workshop meetings shall
at all times be open to the public unless the City Council
is authorized by Florida Statute or by Florida Appellate
Court decision to hold a closed session. The City Council
shall further have the right to limit participation of the
public at any informal meeting.
SECTION 4. That there shall be no formal action taken
at an informal meeting of the City Council.
SECTION 5. That it shall be the duty of the City Clerk
to as far as practicable notify the press and other media
of forthcoming City Council Meetings, informal or formal.
SECTION 6. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.

SECTION 7. That this Ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its passage by the City Council and
approval by the Mayor.
The above Ordinance was read in full and passed by
vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida
at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 204 day
of 74, -� A.D. , 1972.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the
requirement of reading said Ordinance upon second reading
was waived and the Ordinance was ordered put upon final
passage.
Passed by vote of the City Council of the City of
Edgewater, Florida at a regular meeting of said Council
held on the '.Wk day of 74-"t""A.D., 1972, and approved
as provided by law; the vote of said Council upon roll
call being as follows:
