943 - Repealing Ordinance 889 - Hiring/Responsibilities - Norman Dale Bryant - City Manageru ORDINANCE NO. % 4-4 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 689 WHICH ORDINANCE ADDED SECTION 2-1A, TO PROVIDE FOR THE HIRING AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF NORM.AN DALE BRYANT AS CITY MANAGER; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THEREFORE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edgewater has determined, upon mandate other people, that it is not in the best interests of the City of Edgewater to continue to administer the affairs of the City of Edgewater through a City Manager ;..and WHEREAS, certain ordinances and resolutions previously enacted bythis body provided for the designation and appointment of Norman Dale Bryant as City Manager; and WHEREAS, abolition of the said office of City Manager requires action by this body in a repealing ordinance, NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 889, enacted by the City Council for the City of Edgewater on the second reading on the 30th day of September, 1974, is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. That the ammendment thereby of Section 2.1 of the Code of ordinances of the City of Edgewater, Florida which added Section 2.2-1A is hereby repealed. SECTION3. That Ordinance No. 933 enacted by the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida on second reading on the 26th day of June, 1975, in Section 1 providing for and authorizing the signature of the City Manager, checks and vouchers on all accounts for the City of Edgewater, is hereby repealed. 173 SECTION 4. That Resolution No. 590 of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, adopted at a regular meeting on the 25th day of September, 1975 and providing for the compensation of Norman Dale Bryant as City Manager is hereby repealed and all ordinances or parts of ordinances, resolutions or parts of res- olutions, or sections of the City Charter of the City of Edgewater previously repealed as having been in conflict with the aforestated Ordinance No. 889, Ordinance No. 933, Section 1, and all other simi- lar such repeals, are hereby reinstated in full force and effect as if reenacted. SECTION 5. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council and approval by the Mayor. SECTION 6. That the City Clerk shall advertise this Ordinance as required by law. The first reading of the above Ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a regular �meeting of the City Council held on the o7y d y of 1975, and approved as provided by law.
