AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.
876 BY ADDING SUB PARAGRAPHS (e), (f) AND
(g) TO SECTION 3: OF SAID ORDINANCE TO
PROVIDE FOR INSPECTION AND PERMITTING
PROCEDURE FOR MOBILE HOMES AND MOBILE
HOME PARKS AND REINSPECTION FEE GENERALLY
IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, RE-
PEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE THEREFOR.
W HE REA S , it is essential for the safety, health and welfare of
the inhabitants of the City of Edgewater, Florida that plumbing
and electrical installations on individual mobile homes and mobile
home lots be inspected as to the electrical and plumbing installation,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 876 is hereby amended by adding
the following Sub -Paragraphs to Section 3 of said Ordinance:
(a) Before a mobile home is located on any real estate in the City of
Edgewater, the owner or user of said mobile home shall apply for
and obtain from the Building Department of Volusia County a mobile
home occupancy permit for building inspection and the inspection
of electrical and plumbing installations which permit shall expire
and terminate upon the removal of said mobile home from the premises
for which the permit was issued, and said permit shall be revocable
by the Building Department upon the holder's failure to comply with
the building code of the City of Edgewater. The fee for the issuance
of said permit shall be $24.00; said fee shall cover tie down
inspection, Inspection of electrical installation, inspection of
plumbing installations and for the mechanical inspection.

(f) 1 . That the fees for the inspection of the electrical and
plumbing installation in connection with an individual mobile
home lot hereinafter shall be $10.00 for electrical and $10. 00
for plumbing installations for each mobile home lot.
2. That the charge for the inspection of electrical and
plumbing installation for multiple lots hereinafter shall be $5.00
for electrical and $5.00 for plumbing installations for the first
inspection and $2.50 for electrical and $2.50 for plumbing
Installations for each additional lot inspected at the same time.
Also, there shall be a charge for inspection of gas line installation
which shall be $5.00 for the first unit installed and $2.50 for each
installation inspected thereafter which shall be inspected at the
same time as the first unit.
(g) At any time that the Volusia County Building Inspector is
obligated to reinspect any building, mobile home lot or mobile
home within the City of Edgewater, Florida to ascertain compliance
with the codes as adopted by the City of Edgewater, Florida
regarding building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and gas
line installations, a reinspection fee of $5.00 shall be levied for
each reinspection.
SECTION 2. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances and all
Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith be and the
same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall advertise this Ordinance as
required by law.
The first reading of the above Ordinance was read in full and passed
by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a
regular meeting of said Council held on the 23rd day of
January, 1975, and approved as provided by law.
The second reading of this Ordinance to be at a regular meeting of
the City Council to be held on the 1Y1�6'day
