906ORDINANCE NO. 906
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 849 BY
ADDING A SECOND PARAGRAPH TO SECTIONS 4 AND
5 RESPECTIVELY TO PERMIT THE TEMPORARY PARKING
OF COMMERCIAL VEHICLES IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS,
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE THEREFOR.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA
SECTION 1. Section 4 of Ordinance No. 849 is hereby amended by
adding the following paragraph:
"Commercial vehicles, except those commercial vehicles capable of
carrying inflamable materials as a payload, may be parked at the
owner's home in any residential area of the City of Edgewater
only in or on the back or side yard of said home. Said parking
of commercial vehicles shall be only in accordance with Section
5 as hereinafter set forth below. A property owner may be ex-
cused from strict compliance with this Section if there is not
ample space between his lot line and dwelling to enable him to
park any of the above mentioned items in his side or back yard."
SECTION 2. Section 5 of Ordinance No. 849 is hereby amended by
adding the following paragraph:
"Commercial vehicles, except those commercial vehicles capable of
carrying inflamable materials as a payload, may be parked at the
owner's home in any residential area of the City of Edgewater
only after a special permit is obtained by the property owner for
the commercial vehicle from the City Clerk at the City Hall of the
City of Edgewater. This permit shall not exceed a period of 72
hours and shall not be renewable twice in any one month. This
permit shall be issued to residents of the City of Edgewater onlyf
SECTION 3. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances and all
Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith be and
the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall advertise this Ordinance as
required by law.
The first reading of the above Ordinance was read in full and
passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 9th
day of January, 1975, and approved as provided by law.
