AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE B-5 PLANNED SHOPPING
CENTER DISTRICT ZONING CLASSIFICATION TO ADD
FOOD PROCESSING AS AN ADDITIONAL PERMITTED USE,
IMPOSING RESTRICTIONS, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held in the City of Edgewater,
Florida, to discuss the addition of food processing as an addi-
tional permitted use in the B-5 Planned Shopping Center District
zoning classification, and
WHEREAS, the Edgewater City Council voted favorably to add
food processing as an additional permitted use in the zoning
district at a regular council meeting held on May 8, 1978.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That food processing is hereby added as an addi-
tional permitted use in the B-5 Planned Shopping Center District.
SECTION 2: That the term "food processing" shall exclude the
wholesale or retail slaughter of livestock in this zoning district.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances and
all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be
and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption by the City Council and approval as provided by law.
SECTION 5: The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise
this Ordinance as required by law.
The first reading of the above Ordinance is read in full and
passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida,ccc,�����
