AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13-2 OF CHAPTER
13 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, TO PROVIDE THAT NO OCCUPA-
TIONAL LICENSES SHALL BE ISSUED TO ANY APPLICANT,
UNLESS THE ISSUANCE OF SAID LICENSE IS IN CONFORMITY
WITH ALL ZONING LAWS OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA: REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA.
SECTION 1. That Section 13-2 of Chapter 13 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Edgewater, Florida is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 13-2 License requirement.
It shall be unlawful for any person described
in Section 1 above to engage in or manage any
business, profession or occupation in the City
of Edgewater unless he holds a current occupa-
tional license to do so, which license shall be
issued by the City Clerk after the City Clerk,
with the concurrence of the building official,
has determined that the issuance of said
occupational license will be in conformity with
the zoning ordinances of the City of Edgewater,
Florida, and upon payment by the applicant of the
license fee as required by this chapter. Providing,
however, that no license for a business relating to
the sale, processing, serving, or canning of foods,
the building to house same being under construction,
shall be granted until the plans for construction
thereof have been approved by the Volusia County
Health Department and the City Council. Provided,
further, that the applications for licenses for
home occupations must be approved by the City
Council and shall be reviewed each year by said
board prior to renewal of said home occupation
licenses.
SECTION 2. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances and all
Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption by the City Council and approval as provided by law.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise this
Ordinance as required by law.
The first reading of the above Ordinance is read in full and passed by
vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting
of said Council held on the day of , 1971 and approved
as provided by law.
The second reading of the said Ordinance to be at ate f�eeting
of the City Council to be held on the Co day of 1978.
