998r • ORDINANCE NO. �/ q AN ORDINANCE GRANTING AN EXTENSION OF TIME OF 18 MONTHS FROM JUNE 15, 1977, TO FEBRUARY 15, 1979, TO TELEPROMPTER SOUTHEAST, INC., A WHOLLY OWNED SUBSIDIARY OF TELEPROMPTER CORPORATION, TO COMPLY WITH SECTION 19.(a) OF ORDINANCE 663, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 747 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 747 was adopted by the City Council of the City of Edgewater on March 20, 1972, and WHEREAS, Ordinance 747 added Section 19.(a) which required that the TM Communications Company, the predecessor to Teleprompter Southeast, Inc., have cable service available to any and every user of said cable television, regardless of where said user lives or resides or maintains a business within the city limits of the City of Edgewater, and WHEREAS, the City Council, after a public hearing, has determined that Teleprompter Southeast, Inc., is having certain financial difficulties in complying with the provisions of Section 19.(a) of Ordinance 663. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That Teleprompter Southeast, Inc., is hereby granted an extension of time of 18 months from June 15, 1977, to February 15, 1979, in order to comply with the provisions of Section 19.(a), as added to Ordinance No. 663 by Ordinance No. 747. SECTION 2. That, during the said 18 month period of time, no penalties, fines, or forfeitures will be assessed against Teleprompter Southeast, Inc., for non-compliance with Sec. 19.(a). SECTION 3. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are repealed. SECTION 4. That this Ordinance shall become effective immedaitely upon its adoption by the City Council and approval as provided by law. qq4 - 2 - SECTION 5. The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise this Ordinance as required by law.
