972ORDINANCE NO._9_Ze AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE II SECTION 200 OF ORDINANCE NO. 880 OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA BY REDEFINING THE DEFINITION OF "HOME OCCUPATION"; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR RESOLUTIONS IN CON- FLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, a recommendation of the Zoning Board of the City of Edgewater was made to the City Council of the City of Edgewater regarding redefining the definition of "Home Occupation" as set forth in Article II, Section 200 of Ordinance No. 880, and WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held regarding redefining the term "Home Occupation" and it was determined at the Public Hearing that the definition of "Home Occupation" should be redefined. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the definition of "Home Occupation" as set forth in page 9 of Section 200, Article II of Ordinance No. 880, being the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Edgewater, Florida, is hereby amended as follows: Home Occupation: An occupation not otherwise permitted in the district, which is of a type customarily conducted en- tirely within a dwelling and carried on by the occupants thereof: (a) In connection with which occupation there is no display visible from outside the building. (b) Which use is clearly incidental to the use of the dwelling for living purposes and does not change the character thereof. (c) In which occupation no persons other than members of the household are engaged. (d) Which occupation is confined to the dwelling and occupies no more than twenty percent (2097,) of the general floor use thereof. (e) Where only the use of typewriters, photocopiers and electronic calculators will be permitted for office use, and where only small machinery of type intended for hobbiest use such as "small jigsaws, handdrilis, etc." will be operated. (f) Where no manufacturing of any kind intended to produce articles for sale, barter, gift or exchange will be permitted. (g) Where the occupation does not require the arrival of visitors (such as customers) to any regular degree, and does not involve the loading or unloading of motor vehicles except during the hours of 8:00 a. m. to 5:00 p. m. (h) Where no storing of supplies or material required for the home occupation will be permitted outside the dwelling or it's buildings. (i) Where no motor vehicle bearing any advertisement or notice of the home occupation shall be parked regularly except that lettering on a commercial vehicle required by State law shall be permitted under the above requirement. Section 2. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances, and all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions of the City of Edgewater, Florida that are in conflict with this Ordinance be and the same are hereby repealed. Section 3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise this Ordinance as required by law. Section 4. This Ordinance will become effective immediately upon its final passage as provided by law. The first reading of the above Ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at the meeting of said Council held on the�day of , 1977 and approved as provided by law.
