In January 2020,the CRA Board approved the small scale grant program for façade improvements up to $5,000
for properties located in the CRA district /area.As per the approved CRA Plan,façade grants are 50%-50%
matching grants. The approved budgeted amount for façade grants is $50,000 for FY 2020 - 2021.
On January 11,2021,the CRA Board approved this small scale improvement grant in the amount of up to
$5,000 for the grant applicant McCracken Properties LLC,owner of the property 101 -105 N.Ridgewood
Avenue.
The work has been completed and all required documents have been submitted.
The total cost of the work is $9,650.
The grant program is a 50-50 match, up to $5,000.
The grant recipient is requesting the 50% reimbursement of $4,825.00

SUMMARY:
The CRA was approached by the New Smyrna Housing Development Corporation for funding to make
necessary repairs to a multi-family property located at 115 W.Turgot,117 W.Turgot Ave,22 Marilyn Drive and
24 Marilyn Drive in Edgewater (parcel #743315000030).The property was purchased with Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG)and State Housing Initiatives Program (SHIP)funds received from Volusia
County.The Housing Development Goals are to provide these four apartments as part of their affordable
housing program in Edgewater.
The City Manager received permission from Volusia County to reallocate the current year fiscal budget to add
affordable housing in the e-mail message received May 3,2021.The amendment to the CRA budget provides
for reallocating $10,000 from Wayfinding Signs to affordable housing;and reallocating $65,000 from the
Capital Project #2 Extend Potable Water Line from East Indian River Blvd.to Riverside Drive along US1.The
costs for the Capital Project #2 are less than originally estimated.
Affordable Housing initiatives are included in the original CRA Plan.
By amending the fiscal year budget and reallocating these budget line items,the Edgewater CRA an provide a
total of $75,000 to the New Smyrna Housing Development Corporation for the necessary repairs to the four
apartments and allow the Housing Corporation to provide affordable housing opportunity for Edgewater
residents in need.

A RESOLUTION OF THE EDGEWATER, COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, EDGEWATER, FLORIDA;
ADOPTING A REVISED BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
2020 – 2021; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY,
APPLICABILITY AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, The Edgewater Community Redevelopment Agency (Edgewater CRA) was
created pursuant to Chapter 163, Part III, Florida Statutes (the “Community Redevelopment Act”)
establishing the conditions and procedures for the establishment of community redevelopment areas
and agencies; and,
WHEREAS, the Edgewater CRA is a dependent special district under Chapter 189, Florida
Statues (2006), known as the Uniform Special District Accountability Act (the “Special District
Act”); and,
WHEREAS, the Special District Act requires all special districts, including dependent
special districts, such as the Edgewater CRA, to adopt a budget for each fiscal year by resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Community Redevelopment Agency of
the City of Edgewater, Florida as follows:
Section 1. Authority. The Edgewater CRA has the authority to adopt this Resolution
pursuant to the Special District Act.
Section 2. Adoption of Budget. The governing body of the Edgewater CRA does
hereby approve and adopt a Budget for the Edgewater CRA for Fiscal Year 2020 – 2021. A copy of
the budget is attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit “A”.
Section 3. Severability. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of
this Resolution is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent
jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and such
holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining potion hereto.
