AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13-8 B OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, BY ADOPTING NEW
ANNUAL FEES FOR COMPETENCY CARDS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. Section 13-8 B of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Edgewater, Florida, is hereby amended to read as follows:
A certificate of competency is required as a prerequisite
to engaging in any such business, profession or occupation
without regard to whether the person seeking to engage
in such business, profession or occupation is required to
pay an occupational license tax to the City of Edgewater.
Annual fees for the cost of issuing each certificate of
competency shall be paid by the applicants for the following
classifications as follows:
General Contractor
$10.00
Building Contractor
$10.00
Residential Contractor
$10.00
Master Electrician
$10.00
Journeyman Electrician
$ 5.00
Neon Serviceman
$ 5.00
Master Plumber
$10.00
Journeyman Plumber
$ 5.00
Mechanical Contractor A, B, C
$10.00
Journeyman Installer & D, Contractors
$ 5.00
Sheetmetal Contractor

Roofing Contractor

Swimming Pool Contractor

Well & Pump Contractor

It shall be unlawful for any individual to engage in any such business,
profession or occupation without complying with the provisions hereof.
SECTION 2. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances and all
Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption by the City Council and approval by the Mayor at second reading.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise this
Ordinance as required by law.
