951ORDINANCE NO. R51
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ASSESSMENT OF
ONE DOLLAR ($1.00) AGAINST EVERY PERSON
CONVICTED FOR VIOLATION OF A MUNICIPAL
ORDINANCE, OR STATE STATUTE; HOWEVER,
EXCLUDING VIOLATIONS RELATING TO THE PARKING
OF VEHICLES; ASSESSMENTS SHALL BE IMPLEMENTED
FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT EDUCATION AS AUTHORIZED
IN CHAPTER 74-386, LAWS OF THE STATE OF
FLORIDA; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THEREFORE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That hereby an assessment of One and no/100 ($1.00)
Dollar shall be assessed against every person convicted for
violation of a municipal Ordinance or State Statute.
SECTION 2. However, no assessment shall be assessed against
anyone convicted of a violation relating to the parking of
vehicles.
SECTION 3. Assessment shall be implemented for law enforcement
education expenditures as authorized in Chapter 74-386, Laws
of the State of Florida.
SECTION 4. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances and all
Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith be
and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption by the City Council and approval by the Mayor at
second reading.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise
this Ordinance as required by law.
The first reading of the above ordinance was read in full and
passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida at a regular meeting of said Council held on the
day of6LW_, 1976 and approved as provided by law.
The second reading of said ordinance to be at a
meeting of the City Council to be held on the day of
A.D., 1976, roll call vote being as follows:
