949ORDINANCE NO. - AN ORDINANCE PERMITTING THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC AND INTOXICATING BEVERAGES BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 12:30 P.M. TO 12:00 MIDNIGHT SUNDAYS AND PERMITTING BARS AND TAVERNS WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER TO BE OPEN PAST THE PRESCRIBED CLOSING HOURS UPON SPECIAL HOLIDAYS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THEREFORE. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY,OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That the sale of alcoholic and intoxicating beverages, taken to include beer, ale, wine and liquor, between the hours of 12:30 P.M. and 12:00 Midnight Sundays within the corporate limits of the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, is hereby permitted. SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida may, by appropriate action, authorize taverns and bars within the corporate limits of the City of Edgewater, Florida, to stay open past the prescribed closing hours upon special holidays. SECTION 3. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances and all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council and approval by the Mayor at second reading. i SECTION S. The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise this Ordinance as required by law. 9N 9 The first reading of the above Ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, V,. Florida at a regular meeting of said Council held on the /2 day of 1976 and approved as provided by law.
