AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2OF ORDINANCE NO.
110 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA TO PROHIBIT HORSES FROM BEING
RIDDEN OR DRIVEN UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS OR RIGHTS -
OF -WAY, INCLUDING THE SHOULDERS OF THE PUBLIC
STREETS, OR UPON PUBLIC SIDEWALKS OF THE CITY OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR ADVERTISEMENT
OF THIS ORDINANCE AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ENACTED BY, THE. PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 110, which was
adopted at a Special Meeting of the Edgewater City Council on April 19,
1956 is hereby amended to read as follows:
No horse shall be ridden or driven upon the
public streets or rights -of -way, including
the shoulders of the public streets, or upon
public sidewalks of the City of Edgewater.
Any person violating this section of this
Ordinance shall be fined upon conviction not
more than Twenty -Five ($25.00) Dollars or
subject to imprisonment of not more than ten
(10) days.
SECTION 2. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in Con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise
this Ordinance as required by law.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption by the City Council and approval as provided by law.
The first reading of the above Ordinance was read in full and
passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida,
at the Regular meeting of said Council held on the day of
May, 1980, and approved as provided by law.
The second reading of said Ordinance to be at a
meeting of the City Council to be held on the _ day of ,
1980.
