1. CALL TO ORDER
Tiffany Evers, Chair of the Recreation and Cultural Services Board, called the meeting to order at
4:45 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL
Present 3- Glenn Powers,Tiffany Evers and Zach Granger

3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
AR-2021-5507 Minutes from the May 13,2021 Recreation&Cultural Services Board Meeting

A motion was made by Glenn Powers, second by Zach Ganger, to approve Minutes from the
May 13, 2021 Recreation and Cultural Services Board Meeting. The MOTION was
APPROVED unanimously.

5. OLD BUSINESS-None at this time.
6. NEW BUSINESS
Ms. Evers welcomed new board member, Zach Ganger to the Board and to his first meeting.
7. REPORTS
a. Parks&Recreation Department Director Report
Ms. Bergeron, Director of. the Parks & Recreation Department, updated the board on Parks
Department projects as well as upcoming events, including a potential change to the end point of the
Christmas Parade and a postponement of the Boots and Belles Dance. The Board agreed to changing
the date of the dance from October 9, 2021 to February 12, 2022.

b. Board Reports
The Board extended the date to enter the Holiday Light Decorating Contest to December 19, 2021
and added a photo contest component this year.
Glenn Powers noted that Wreaths Across America will happen this year on December 18 at the
Edgewater New Smyrna Cemetery.
8. SCHEDULE NEXT BOARD MEETING
The next Recreation & Cultural Services Board meeting was scheduled for Thursday, November 18,
2021 at 4:45 p.m. in City Council Chambers.
