Q
o
Mayor Severance stated that we will go on to the discussion of
the budget.
Councilman CAirnie asked the City Clerk about adjusting the
departments.
The City Clerk stated that she got in touch with the auditors
and although the budget is going to be overexpended, they said
there was no need to adjust it, because if they did to cover
anything we would have to raise the amount of the budget which
would require a Public Hearing and there is not sufficient time
to give notice on it. The Auditor said that taking the emergencies
which has a balance in it, Fire Dept. and various others, it would
not help the overall picture of the budget so there was no point
in doing it.
Councilman Lodico asked that according to the auditors books
are we going to have a balance?
The City Clerk explained that Mr. Cunningham said that there
would be a surplus and it would be approximately $62,000.
20 min.
The City Clerk explained that she has eleven names of people
who said that if they were asked, they would serve for the
election. She read her list.
There were several people from the audience who gave their
names as being interested in working.
