THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER
SPECIAL MEETING HELD
April 25, 1974
The Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida was called to order April 25, 1974 at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor
David C. Severance.

GENERAL BUSINESS
Mayor Severance read the letter from the Zoning & Planning Board
concerning the 60 day moritorium on all building except single
family dwellings. They requested that the Council extend the
moritorium on building which will expire on April 19, 1974 until
such time that a new zoning ordinance and land use map is completed,
approved and put into effect. They are also requesting public
hearings May 22nd and 23rd.
Mayor Severance stated that the City Clerk has already taken care
of the advertising for the public hearings to be held May 22-23.

Councilman Clinton duly made a motion that we establish a moritorium
on all construction other than single family residents until July
1, 1974, motion being seconded by Councilman Sikes. Upon roll call
vote said motion CARRIED.
ADJOURN OR RECESS
Councilman Clinton duly made a motion that this special meeting be
adjourned, being seconded by Councilman Sikes. Upon roll call vote
said motion CARRIED.
