APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Ed Corn, second by Alice Haldeman to approve the minutes of the January 14, 2016 meeting. The motion failed by the following vote and deferred to next month board meeting. SWEARING IN WITNESSES Sworn in were Code Officer Dan Koehler, Code Officer Kevin Pogany and Charles Hewitt of 2519 Glenwood Dr., Edgewater, FL. 5. CASES WITH PAID CITATION(S) Board Member Nikki Hughart asked for definition of alternate method enforcement. Capt. Jeff Lariscy entered the meeting. 6. NEW BUSINESS - PUBLIC HEARING Code Officer Dan Koehler asked the Board to move item J. to the first case to be heard. The Board agreed with the changes to the agenda. Ridgewood Dr. Sec. 21-34.05 Refuse & dumpsters Code Officer Kevin Pogany presented the case to the Board. Charles Hewitt stated they called the company numerous time and they were changing the date to Wednesday. The dumpster company has the keys. He spoke to them on January 26. Capt. Lariscy stated their are two dumpsters at the location. Each tenant is responsible for the contracts for the dumpsters. A motion was made by Corn, second by Lester, to find in violation and follow the staff recommendation. Pursuant to Section 10-348 and 10-345 subparagraph C 11 of the Code of Ordinances and the statement that appears on the respective citation issued that failure to appear at the hearing means the alleged violator has waived any right to contest the violation and that an order can be made for the maximum applicable penalties that include but are not limited to administrative costs, fines, daily fines and liens.
