Katez Present Present Present Present Absent Present Present Present ORDINANCES ORDINANCE NO.766: AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE TAXATION: LEVYING AN OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE TAX FOR THE PRIVILEGE OR ENGAGING IN OR MANAGING ANY BUSINESS, PROFESSION OR OCCUPATION WITH- IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER; REGULATING THE TERM OF OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES~ PROVIDING FOR THE REVOCATION OR SUSPENSION OF SUCH LICENSES;PROVIDING A SCHEDULE OF OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE TAXES; PROVIDING EXEMPTIONS; REQUIRING CERTIFICATES OF COMPETENCY FOR CERTAIN OCCUPATIONS; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL OTHER ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE- WITH; PROVIDING FOR ~UBLIC NOTICE OF THE SECOND READING OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND PROVIDING AN 'EFFECTIVE DATE. The above Ordinance was read in full by City Attorney Joseph Weaver. A brief discussion concerning out of town delivery trucks in Edgewater followed: Mayor Armstrong said now, due to a Supreme Court ruling they are not required to purchase a license. Councilman Ganta said some of these rates are not right. Mayor Armstrong said we can not increase the rates, they must remain the same as they were on 10/1/71. Councilwoman Crigger duly made a motion to approve the said Ordinance, being seconded by Councilman Ganta. Upon roll call vote, said motion CARRIED. ORDINANCE NO..762 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE PROPERTY OF JOHN J. SAUERS AND THERESE A. SAUERS AND REDEFINING THE BOUNDARY LINES OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, TO INCLUDE THE NEWLY ANNEXED PROPERTY, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THEREFOR. The above 6rdinance was read in full by City Attorney Joseph Weaver. Councilman Severance duly made a motion to approve the said Ordinance, being seconded by Councilwoman Crigger. Upon roll call vote, said motion CARRIED. Ordinance No.775 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE REZONING OF LOTS 5 AND 6, BLOCK B, COLES SUBDIVISION, AS PER MAP IN MAP BOOK 23, PAGE 63, PUBLIC RECORDS OF VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO COMMERCIAL,. Upon roll call vote said motion CARRIED. Councilman Severance disqualified himself as he is a partner in the business.
