REPORTS a.AR-2018-3185 Event/Marketing Subcommittee Report Event-Marketing Subcommittee Meeting Minutes 01-18-2018Attachments: Tiffany Evers reported that the Event/Marketing Subcommittee has scheduled meetings the third Tuesday of each month from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. in the Parks & Recreation conference room, to be open to all. By March, the goal is to have five active members. Page 1City of Edgewater Printed on 5/23/2018 February 22, 2018Recreation & Cultural Services Board Meeting Minutes b.AR-2018-3186 Founders Day Subcommittee Report Founders Day Subcommittee Meeting Minutes 01-18-2018Attachments: Mrs. Mullins reported that the Founders Day Subcommittee will meet again March 9, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. and will discuss the upcoming celebration in New Smyrna and Edgewater's potential involvement in that event. The subcommittee is currently working on ideas for a Founders Day logo and a brief written history with a narrative. This summer, the subcommittee hopes to continue to collect stories and possibly work with a local school for some video documentation of these stories. Ms. Evers offered her assistance with the video portion of the project. c.AR-2018-3187 Whistle Stop Park Update Samantha Bergeron reported that the demolition at Whistle Stop Park is complete. Permits have been submitted, site grading and underground utility work is underway. The cost of upgrading some outdated equipment from the baseball fields and adding cameras to the park is being explored. The skate park's subcontractor, Team Payne, wants to have an onsite meeting to get public input on the shape of the skate park. 6. OTHER BUSINESS a.AR-2018-3184 Beautification Award Program Beautification Nomination FormAttachments: Mrs. Mullins talked to the board about the nomination form developed for the Beautification Award Program. The program will be rolled out now and the first award will be presented in September. A motion was made by Mrs. Konters, second by Walt Zakaluzny, to approve the Beautification Award Nomination form. With a modification to the deadline information to indicate awards for September 2018 and March 2019, The MOTION was APPROVED unanimously. A motion was made by Konters, second by Zakaluzny, to adopt Informational Report No. AR-2018-3184. Laura Konters - Reappointment Request Application - Gina Golub Application - Rose Hoffman Application - Roberta Muradian Application - Jennifer Reynolds Attachments: A motion was made by Mr. Powers, second by Mrs. Evers, to recommend Laura Konters for reappointment to the Recreation & Cultural Services Board, to City Council.
