J u o u THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER RECESSED MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 3, 1971 The Recessed Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, was called to order by Mayor William H. Cairnie on Wednes- day, November 3, 1971, at 7:30 P.M. Before roll call, Mayor Cairnie asked Reverend Canova for a prayer of Invocation. ROLL CALL Mayor William H. Dounhoo Present Present Present Present Present Present Present Present Present APPROVAL OF MINUTES Councilman Wiggins duly made a motion of approval of the minutes of regular meetings of November 1, 1971 and November 3, 1971. Said motion being seconded by Councilman Fugate. Upon roll call vote, said motion CARRIED with Mayor Cairnie Abstaining and Councilman Ganta abstaining the minutes of November 3, 1971. OFFICERS REPORTS Certification of Posting Mayor Cairnie, Councilman Lodico and Councilman Fugate expressed their thanks and appreciation to the City employees for their services and to the people of Edgewater for their assistance to them during their terms in office RESOLUTIONS RESOLUTION NO. 417: A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT THERE IS NO FURTHER BUSINESS TO COME BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AND THAT THIS ADMINISTRATION OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, ADJOURN SINE DIE. The aforestated Resolution was read by City Attorney Charles A. Hall. A motion to adopt this Resolution was duly made by Councilman Fugate and seconded by Councilman Lodico. Upon roll call vote, said motion CARRIED with Mayor Cairnie Abstaining. OATH OF OFFICE Mayor Dana T. Armstrong, Councilwoman Marian Crigger (Zone 1) and Councilman David Severance (Zone 3) were sworn in to their respective offices, the oath being administerec by City Clerk Elsie Ward. Dounhoo Present Present Present Before proceeding with any other business, Mayor Armstrong, Councilwoman Crigger and Councilman Severance took time to thank the voters for the support and turnout at the November 2nd election. NEW BUSINESS Councilwoman Crigger duly moved to retain all employees and depart- ment heads on a temporary basis until the Council has their organi- zational meeting. Said motion being seconded by Councilman Severance. Upon roll call vote, said motion CARRIED. A motion to retain the two accounts in the same banks on a temporary basis was duly made by Councilman Wiggins and seconded by Councilman Ganta. Upon roll call vote, said motion CARRIED. Mayor Armstrong announced the new Council would have their informal organizational meeting on Monday, November 8, 1971 at 7:00 P.M. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned by Councilman Wiggins and seconded by Councilman Ganta. Upon roll call vote, said motion CARRIED.
