Said motion was seconded by Councilman Fugate. Upon roll call vote, said motion CARRIED. Upon roll call vote, said motion CARRIED. OFFICERS REPORTS Certification of Posting Clerk's Cash Statement for May Budget Report for May COMMUNICATIONS A letter of resignation from Mrs. Gillespie, resigning from the Humane Society was read by the City Clerk, Elsie Ward. Councilman Lodico duly made a motion to accept the resignation of Mrs. Gillespie, being seconded by Councilman Ganta. Upon roll call vote, said motion CARRIED. Letters from Mr. John Gross and Mr. Charles Crigger regarding the acquiring of the land in front of their homes were read by the City Clerk. After some discussion, Councilman Fugate duly made a motion to table the letters f,r further study since he doubted whether or not the City had the right to sell the property. Said motion was seconded by Councilman Wiggins. Upon roll call vote, said motion CARRIED. The City Clerk read the letter from the Planning Board regarding Magnuson's request to rezone Indian River Boulevard for light business. The Planning Board decided to leave the zoning as it is. Councilman Fugate duly made a motion to accept the Planning Boards decision and seconded by Councilman Ganta. Upon roll call vote, said motion CARRIED. City Attorney, Charles Hall, suggested the City Clerk write a letter to Mr. Magnuson informing of the decision. Upon City Attorney.s suggestion, Councilman Fugate duly made a motion to write the letter, being seconded by Councilman Ganta. Upon roll call vote, said motion CARRIED. Councilman Fugate suggested that the regul~r Council meeting be held on July 5, 1971 instead of the 7th since not any of the Council would be out of town for the holidays. A motion to adjourn was duly made by Councilman Fugate and seconded by Councilman Wiggins. Upon roll call vote, said motion CARRIED. Time of Adjournment: 7:58 P.M. Minutes Taken By: Carolyn D.
