SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGE~ATER,
FLORIDA HELD OCTOBER 23RD, 1964
The Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida held October 23rd, 1964 in the Mayor's Office was called to
order by Mayor Dana T. Armstrong at 7:30 P.M.

The purpos83 of the meeting were as follows:
Disperse with all necessary arrangements
pertinent to Sewer Easements and other
deeds, easements, lakes, buffer zones and
rights of way in the Florida Shores Sucdivision
Pass Resolution regarding Silver Ridge Sanitary
Sewerage System
Mayor Armstrong announced there is a business deal being transacted by
Read Brothers Construction in Silver Ridge and it is necessary for the
Council to Pass Resolution regarding the Sanitary Sewer System operated
in Silver Ridge.
Attorney William Gillespie explained to the Council there are two Corporations
in Silver Ridge. One is the Property Owners Corp. and the other the Silver
Ridge Private Service Corp. which operated the Sewer System.
Mr. Thomas Read told the council the new owners wanted assurance that the
City of Edgewater will permit the Corporation to operate the plant and
facilities and if and when feasible purchase the facilities with
the option to purchase the disposal plant.

An agreement between the City of Edgewater and the Silver Ridge Private
Service Corporation was read in full. This agreement was in reference to
the Sewerage System in Silver Ridge.
RESOLUTION NUMBER 64 AUTHORIZING SILVER RIDGE PRIVATE SERVICES CORroRATION,
A FLORIDA CORPORATION, A NON EXCLUSIVE FRANCHISE TO CYllN, MAINTAIN AND
OPERATE SE\'IAGE FACILITIES UPON LANDS TO BE ANNEXTED TO THE CITY OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA AND SPECIFYING THE TERMS. AND CONDITIONS OF SAID
NONEXLUSIVE FRANCHISE.
The above resolution was read in full and after several corrections
motion duly made by Councilman Cairnie this resolution be adopted, seconded
by Councilman Sil:ber" 1 and passed by vote of the City Council of the City
of Edgewater at the Special Meeting of the said Council held this
23rd day of October, A.D. 1964. The roll call vote was unanimous.
The City Clerk and Mayor signed agreement in triplicate.

After a lengthy discussion regarding the Florida Shores ditches,
easements, buffer strip, etc. a motion was duly made by Councilman
Siller we now adjourn, seconded by Councilman Cairnie and there
were no objections.
