Motion duly made by Councilman Cairnie the Mayor be authorized to sign
a tentative approval as to relocation of certain sewer lines subject to
approval by the Housing and Home Finance Agency, secnnded by Councilman
Ridgdill.
Mayor Armstrong said that before these changes were made the Engineer
had been consulted. In some instances it was a matter of staying off
private property or the elimination of destroying someones orange trees.
He said that in some instances we may save some money and in some instances
it may cost a little more. In some instances if we did not change the location
of the sewer lines we may have had to take someone to court and this could possibly
cost more than to just change the location of the line.

Mr. Walter strang, Supervisor of Sanitary Sewerage Project, gave a
progress report. The progress report, dated August 17th, 1964, signed
. 'by B. N. Wilson, Project Engineer, has been made a part of the minutes.
Mr. Strang advised that if anyone has any questions on the sewer project,
he would appreciate it if ,they \~ld ask about it before the sewer lines
are layed on their street.
.
Mrs. Thelma Hennig inquired as to fixing the roof at the Edgewater Library.
She said they have had a couple of accidents already. The roof leaks
and it is very slippery.
Mayor Armstrong said that Councilman Siller has been put in charge of
working with the library and he is not here tonight.
Mayor Armstrong said that he has just so many men to work with and he
doesn I t want to be rushed into anything. In order to fix this leak we
would have to take some men off the Garbage Truck, Water lines or some
other necessary project beihg worked on in the City. He said there are
holes in the road, run-offs and other things to be taken care of.
Councilman Ridgdill inquired about someone being hired to come in and
fix the Library. He inquired as to whether we would need bids.
Mayor Armstrong said there ~ldn't be any need of getting bids but it
would cost a lot more money for someone to come in and do this work.
Councilman Ridgdill said the Council will look into this.
Motion duly made by Councilman Tingle we accept the Department of the "Army
