SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF '!HE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA
HELD MAY 12TH, 1964
The Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida was called to order by Mayor Dana T. Armstrong on May 12th,
1964 at 5:00 P.M.

The Purpose of this meeting is to pass a Resolution requesting State
Road Department and U. S. Government to build and construct an interchange
west of Edgewater.
RESOLUTION NUMBER 44 REQUESTING THE FlORIDA STATE ROAD DEPARTMENT AND
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA TO BUILD AND CONSTRUCT AN INTERCHANGE
AT THE INTERSECTION OF ROAD I-95 WITH MISSION ROAD OR THE WESTERLY
EXTENSION THEREOF WEST OF THE CITY OF EDGID'lATER, FLORIDA.
George Beck attended the meeting and explained to the Council there
was no approval yet for an interchange to the Edgewater area and he
feels it is necessary for the growth of Edgewater. He also said County
Commissioner Harris Saxon has agreed the County would put the road
through to Edgewater from the interchange.
The above resolution was read in full by City Clerk Helen W. Jones and
motion duly made by Councilman Ridgdill this resolution be adopted,
seconded by Councilman Siller and passed by vote of the City Council
of the City of Edgewater, Florida at the SpeciaMeeting of the said
council held this 12th day of May, A.D. 1964. The Roll call vote
was unanimous with the exception of Councilman Cairnie who was absent.
There being no further business motion duly made by Councilman Tingle
we now adjourn, seconded by Councilman Ridgdill and there were no
objections.
