OF EDGEWA TER, FLORIDA HELD
SEPTEMBER 23RD, 1965
The Recessed Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida
was called to order by Mayor Dana T. Armstrong at 10:00 A.M. on September 23rd,
1965 in the Mayor's Office.

The City Clerk read a certification of petitions stating that the follo~dng
petitions were in by 4:30 P.M. on September 22nd, A.D. 1965 and there are
sufficient signatures on the petitions of Dana T. Armstrong and Earl L. Tingle
to qualify them as candidates for the office of Mayor.
The Certification further stated that there are sufficient signatures on the
petitions of Jacob Lodico, Wm. H. Cairnie, Jack J. Smith, Carroll D. Alexander,
Paul F. vJalls, Jack \'litten, B. R. Ridgdill, Philip H. Bebbington and John
Waddington, Jr. to qualify them as candidates for the office of Councilman.
RESOI1JTION
RESOLUTION NUMBER 82 DECLARING THE CANDIDATES FOR THE OFFICE OF COUNCILMEN FOR
ZONES THREE (3) AND FOUR (4), IN THE CITY OF EDGE\'lATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA,
TO BE NOHINATED AT A PRIMARY ElECTION TO BE HELD OCTOBER 19, 1965. SAID
CANDIDATES TO BE VOTED ON CITY vJIDE AND PROVIDING FOR THE PREPARATION AND
PRINTING OF BALLOTS FOR SAID ElECTION.
The above Resolution was read in full by City Clerk Helen W. Jones and'motion
duly made by Councilman Cairnie this resolution be adopted, seconded by
Councilman Tingle and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of
Edgewater, Florida at the Recessed Meeting of the said Council held this
23rd day of September, A.D. 1965. The roll call vote of those present
was unanimous.
The City Clerk read the tentative budget for the Water and Sewer Department.
Mayor Armstrong said there would "have to be one amendment to the Budget regarding
Workman's Compensation.
Motion duly made by Councilman Cairnie we tentatively approve the budget for the
Water and Sewer Department pending second reading, seconded by Councilman Ridgdill
and by vote CARRIED. The roll call v ote of those present ~Tas unanimous.

Motion duly made by Councilman Cairnie this bill be paid and be made a part
of the minutes, seconded by Councilman Ridgdill and by vote CARRIED. The roll
call vote of those present was unanimous.
There being no further business, motion duly made by Councilman Cairnie we
now adjourn, seconded by Councilman Tingle and there were no objections.
