03-12-1965 - Recessed/Regular \ v u u II U RECESSED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGH:WATER, FLORIDA HELD }!ARCH 12TH, 1965 The Recessed Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida held March 12th, 1965 was called to order by Mayor Dana T. Armstrong in the Mayor's Office at 7:30 P.M. ROLL CALL Mayor Dana T. Armstrong Present Councilman Carl A. Siller Present Councilman Earl L. Tingle Present CounciJ..nan W. H. Cairnie Present Councilman B. R. Ridgdil1 Present City Attorney W. D. Mathas Present City Clerk Helen W. Jones Present Deputy City Clerk Marie Robinson Present MINUTES None BIILS & ACCOUNTS None CERTIFICATION OF BIDS A certification was read stating the only' bid received on an electric generator Was from M. D. Moody & Sons, Inc. The City Clerk opened the bid and it was in the amount of $1,912. A check was enclosed in the amount of $95.60. , Motion duly made by Councilman Cairnie we turn this bid over to our Engineers to check it against our specifications and have recommendation by Monday Night, seconded by Councilman Siller and by vote CARRIED. The roll call v ote was unamIOOUS. Mr. Tom Groover said at least 20 companies were notified about purchase of this generator and was surprised about having but one bid. The Council agreed to advertise for bids on a new police car. They agreed to advertise with the specifications drawn up by the Mayor with two changes. 1. Delete the numbercof':cylinders the car must have.2. Specify back-up lights. The specifications have been made a part of the minutes. Motion duly made by Councilman Siller we .advertise for bids on a police car with the above specifications, seconded by Councilman Ridgdi11 and by vote CARRIED. The roll call vote was unanimous. Mr. Raymond Jones, representative of T. Nelson O'Rourke, spoke to the Council. He talked with reference to refinancing the Series A Bonds. The Mayor said the Council will contact Mr. Jones again if they have any further need of his services. There being no further business, motion duly made by Councilman Ridgdi11 we now adjourn, seconded by Councilman Siller and there~~e no objections.
