Motion duly made by Councilman Cairnie these minutes stand ap?roved as submitted, seconded by Councilman Tingle and by vote CARB-IED. The roll call vote was unanimous of those present. Page 1 of 3 pages , u ..", ~ u ... . OFFICERS REPORTS .. " The Librarian's Report for the month of November,1964, was read. Police Department Report for the month of November, 1964, \ffiS read. Certification of Posting dated December Sth, 1964, was read. Certification of Posting dated December 16th, 1964, was read. }~yor Armstrong thanked the City Clerk and her staff and other City Officials for the fine reports. He also commended the Chief of Police on the fine police report and explained that the large number of escorts (77) included taking the children across the street at the school crossing tvdce a day. The Audit Report for the year 1963-64 was read. Mayor Armstrong thanked the auditors for getting the report done so promptly. Mr. Cairnie asked the auditor to give just a statement on the financial condition of the City. The Auditor said we were in good financial shape and had about $27,000 more then the previous year. Motion duly made by Councilman Tingle 've accept audit as subrni t ted, seconded by Councilman Cairnie and by vote CARRIED. The roll call vote of those present was unanimous. The Auditor said that if there is anything we do not understand we should feel free to call upon him. }~. Strang from Briley, Wild & Assoc. gave the Engineer's Report on the Sewer Project. This report has been made a part of the minutes. Mr. Strang said he does not have the specifications on the pipe to be used for hooking up to the sewers but hopes to have it at the next meeting (January 4th, 1965). COMMUNICA TIONS A letter was read from V~. John Zeilman, dated December 16th, 1964, stating he Has resigning from the Board of Governors, effective January 1, 1965. Motion duly made by Councilman Ridgdill we accept }~. Zeilman's resignation and express our appreciation for services in the past, seconded by Councilman Cairnie and by vote CARRIED. " 4,,) <.) v PROCIAMA TION A Proclamation declaring the Yuletide Season of 1964, a Special Precaution Season. Proclamation signed by the Mayor. OLD BUSINESS None NEI^[ BUSINESS None MISCELIANEOUS Mr. Cairnie reported that 235 stockings were given out to the children at the Christmas Party this date. He thanked all the organizations and the city for the help in making the party a success. ~~or Armstrong said he, the City Clerk and City Attorney went to Atlanta about a "leek ago and transacted business on the se"Ter project. He said everybody in Atlanta was cooperative and very nice. Mayor Armstrong thanked everyone for their Christmas Cards. he received over 400 and could not possibly answer them all.
