The Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida
\<las called to order by Mayor Dana T. Armstrong on December 15th, 1964
at 7:30 P. M.

The purpose of the meeting was to study insurance bids and pass Ordinance
awarding insurance and rejecting all other bids.
~~yor Armstrong announced that Mr. Tumblin of Tumblin Insurance Agency, who
was 1011 bidder for the City Insurance, was invited to the meeting to explain
the insurance and answer any questions the council may have.
After a lengthy discussion concerning the insurance, Councilman Cairnie made
a motion to award the insurance to The Insurance Company of North America
as submitted by Tumblin Insurance Agency of New Snvrna Beach, Florida, seconded
by Councilman Siller and the roll call vote was unanimous.
Motion duly made by Councilman Cairnie we cancel the present policy for
Builders Risk vdth Kins~y Agency and to have all City Insurance ~dth
the same Agenc,jr, seconded by Councilman Ridgdill and after some discussion
the roll call vote vIas unanimous.

ORDINANCE
ORDINANCE NUMBER 427 ACCEPTING BID OF THE INSURANCE COMPANY OF NORTH
AMERICA AND REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS.
The above ordinance was read in full by Attorney ~'l. D. lofa.thas and motion
duly made by Councilman Siller this ordinance be adopted, seconded by
Councilman Tingle and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of
Edgewater, Florida, at the Special Meeting of said Council held December 15th,
1964. The roll call vote was unanimous.
Upon motion duly made by. Councilman Siller, seconded by Councilman Tingle
the requirement of reading Ordinance upon second reading was waived and the
ordinancevwas ordered put into effect immediately at the Special Meeting of
the said Council held on the 15th day of December, A.D. 1964 and approved
as provided by law. The vote of said Council ....as unanimous.
Mr. Tumblin thanked the Council for their business and assured them that
he ,.muld assist them in any way possible.
There being no further business, motion duly made by Councilman Siller we
now adjourn, seconded by CouncilroAn Ridgdill and there were no objections.
