SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEVIATER, FLORIDA HELD NOVEMBER 4TH, 1964 The Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida was called to order at 4:00 P.M. on November 4th,1964 in the Mayort~ Office by Mayor Dana T. Armstrong. ROLL CALL Mayor Dana T. Armstrong Councilman Carl A. Siller Councilman Earl L. Tingle Councilman William H. Cairnie Councilman B. R. Ridgdill City Clerk Helen W. Jones Deputy City Clerk Marie Robinson Present Ab~ent Present Present Pre~ent Present Present CANVASS OF ELECTION The entire election board was present. There wa~ one absentee ballot and the vote on the two questions on the ballot wau YES. The total vote .,on the question flAre you in favor of annexation of that certain area known as Silver Ridge Development?" Yes 625 Votes No 245 Votes The total vote on the question "Are you in favor of the proposed gas franchise for the City of Edgewater, Florida?" Yes 590 Votes No 279 Votes RESOLUTION NUMBER 65 DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE SPECIAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, ON THE 3RD ,DAY OF NOVEl-mER, A.D. 1964. (gas franchise) The above resolution was read in full and motion duly made by Councilman Cairnie this resolution be adopted, seconded by Councilman Ridgdill and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater at the Special Meeting of the said Council held this ~th day of November, A.D. 1964. The roll call vote was unanimous. RESOLUTION NUMBER 66 DECLARING 'ID1E RESULTS OF THE SPECIAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF EDG~dATER, FLORIDA, ON THE 3RD DAY OF NOVEMBER, A.D. 1964. (Silver Ridge) \ I The above resolution was read in full and motion duly made by Oouncilman Tingle this resolution be adopted, seconded by Councilman Ridgdill and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater at the Special Meeting of the said Council held this 4th day of November, A.D. 1964. The roll call vote was unanimous. Mayor Armstrong expressed'his appreciation to the wonderful way the election was conducted. He said he has not heard the first complaint. He also said the County, State and National Elections were conducted very well. There being no further business, motion duly made by Councilman Cairnie this meeting be adjourned, seconded by Councilman Tingle and there were no objections. Hinutes taken by Marie Robinson.
