REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA HELD SEPTEMBER 19TH, 1966
The Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida was called to order by Mayor Earl L. Tingle at 7:30 P.M.
on September 19th, 1966.

The Minutes of the Recessed Meeting of the City Council held
September 6th, 1966, the Minutes of the Special Meeting of the
City Council held September 14th, 1966 and the Minutes of the
Recessed Meeting of the City Council held September 14th, 1966
were presented to each Councilman for his approval. Motion duly
made by Councilman Walls these minutes stand approved as submitted,
seconded by Councilman Bebbington and by vde CARRIED. The roll
call vote was unanimous with the exception of Councilman Lodico
who abstained on the minutes of September 6th and MayorTing1e
who approved only the minutes of September 14th his first
meeting as Mayor.

Motion duly made by Councilman Bebbington these bills be paid and be
made a part of the minutes, seconded by Councilman Cairnie and by
vote CARRIED. The roll call vote was unanimous.

Certification of Posting dated September 7th, 1966 was read.
Certification of Posting dated September 15th, 1966, was read.
The Clerk's Cash Statement for August, 1966, was read.
The Budget Report for the month of August, 1966, was read.
The Police Department Report for the month of August, 1966, was r.ead.
The Library Report for the month of August, 1966, was read.
Certification of Bids dated September 19th, 1966, was read.
The City Clerk opened the bid from Lakeland Truck Equipment, Inc.
for a fire truck. It was the only bid received.
Bid Amount
$4,495.00 plus an extra $100 for a 700 gallon tank.
Motion duly made by Councilman Cairnie we table this bid
for further study, seconded by Councilman Walls and by vote
CARRIED. The roll call vote was unanimous.

MISCELLANEOUS
Mrs. Robert Maxwell complained about the condition of the
street in front of her house. (2123 Orange Tree Drive)
The Council said they would look into it.

Fire Chief Richard Hanson said the Fire Department,out of
their own funds, is going to purchase a siren for the new
fire truck.
Councilman Walls said the Fire Department has also started
a new project to supply the school with some playground equipment.
There being no further business, motion duly made by Councilman
Cairnie we now adjourn, seconded by Councilman Walls and there
were no objections.
