(; () (.) o '" SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA HELD OCTOBER 25th, 1967 The Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida held October 25th, 1967 was called to order by Mayor W. H. Cairnie at 4:00 P.M. in the Mayor1s office. The meeting was called by Mayor Cairnie for the following purposes: Canvass absentee ballots. Pass a Resolution declaring the results of the Primary Election held on the 24th of October. Approve a bill from the Bank of New Smyrna for checks for the water department. ROLL CALL Mayor William H. Cairnie Councilman Jacob Lodico Councilman Clifton E. Mosher Councilman Paul F. Walls Councilman Philip H. Bebbington City Attorney Charles A. Hall City Clerk Elsie L. Ward Deputy Clerk Patricia Spencer Police Chief Herman M. Witmeyer Present Present Present Absent Present Present Present Present Present Councilman Jacob Lodico challenged the vote of Charlotte and Robert S. Fuller, Jr. who live in Miami and have for a number of years. Councilman Mosher suggested that Attorney Hall call Mrs. Odham of the County to validate the votes, and this was done. Attorney Hall stated that they owned homes here and claimed this as their place of residence.- Since there was no knowledge of their registering elsewhere, they were within their rights. Mrs. Odham stated that they had voted here either in person or by absentee since 1950. Councilman Mosher duly made a motion that they be qualified. Said motion was seconded by Councilman Bebbington and passed by vote of the City Council. The roll call vote was unanimous. The canvassing of the absentee ballots was completed. RESOLUTION NO. 199 DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE PRIMARY ELECTION HELD ON THE 24th DAY OF OCTOBER, A.D. 1967. The above resolution was read in full by City Attorney Hall and upon motion duly made by Councilman Bebbington this resolution be adopted, seconded by Councilman Lodico and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater at the Special Meeting of said Council held on the 24th day of October, 1967. Walls Page 1 II "',,-_. u Q o 11 U A bill from the Bank of New Smyrna for checks for the Water Depart- ment in the amount of $63.91 was brought before the Council for approval. Motion was duly made by Councilman Lodico that this bill be paid, seconded by Councilman Bebbington and passed by vote of the City Council. The roll call vote was unanimous. There being no further business, Councilman Bebbington made a motion that we adjourn. Motion was seconded by Councilman Lodico and there were no objections. Minutes taken by Patricia A. Spencer.
