'-> o SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER~ FLORIDA HELD MARCH 23RD~ 1967 The Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater~ Florida held March 23rd~ 1967 was called to order by Vice Mayor Jacob Lodico at 7:30 P.M. in the Mayor's Office. The Meeting was called by Vice Mayor Jacob Lodico for the following purposes: Pass Ordinance awarding bid for Calculator Pass Ordinance awarding bid for Refinishing outside of City Hall Authorize advertising for Garbage Truck Authorize changes to Chlorine feeding system to water 1 ines ROLL CALL Vice Mayor Jacob Lodico Councilman Paul F. Walls Councilman Philip H. Bebbington City Attorney Charles A. Hall City Clerk Elsie L. Ward Deputy City Clerk Marie Robinson Police Chief Herman Witmeyer Present Present Present Present Present Absent Present ORDINANCE NUMBER 533 ACCEPTING THE BID OF KITTINGER BUSINESS MACHINES OF DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA FOR A CALCULATOR FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA. The above Ordinance was read in full by City Attorney Hall and motion duly made by Councilman Walls this ordinance be adopted, seconded by Councilman Bebbington and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at the special meeting of the said Council held March 23rd~ 1967. The roll call vote was unanimous. Upon motion duly made by Councilman Walls, seconded by Councilman Bebbington the requirement of reading ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance was ordered put into effect immediately at the special meeting of the city council held March 23rd, 1967. The roll call vote \'/as unanimous. ORDINANCE NUMBER 534 ACCEPTING THE BID OF OWENS BROTHERS CONCRETE SERVICES, INC. OF NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FLORIDA FOR SAND BLASTING AND PERFORMING DURACRETE WORK URON THE CITY HALL IN EDGEWATER, FLORIDA. The above Ordinance was read in full by City Attorney Hall and motion duly made by Counciman Bebbington this ordinance be adopted, seconded by Councilman Walls and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at the special meeting of the said Council held March 23rd,1967. The roll call vote was unanimous. Upon motion duly made by Councilman Bebbington, seconded by Councilman Walls the requirement of reading ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance was ordered put into effect immediately at the special meeting of the City Council held March 23rd, 1967. The roll call vote was unanimous. Motion duly made by Councilman Bebbington the City Clerk be authorized to advertise for bids on a Garbage Truck; bids to be in by 4:30 P.M. on April 3rd, 1967, seconded by Councilman Walls and by vote CARRIED. The roll call vote was unanimous. Motion duly made by Councilman Bebbington the City Clerk be authorized to advertise for bids to construct and/or install modifications to the metering and chlorination facilities at the Water Treatment Plant, seconded by Councilman Walls and by vote CARRIED. " u The Council sug~ested a letter be sent to Harris Saxon, County Commissioner, thanking him for the check to cover the final payment on the Railroad Crossing in Florida Shores. The Council stated they have received the first payment on the new 1 ibrary in the amount of $11 ,385.00.
