REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA HELD DECEMBER 19TH, 1966
The Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida was called to order by Mayor Earl L. Tingle at 7:30 P.M.
on December 19th, 1966.

The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the City Council held
December 5th, 1966 were presented to each Councilman for his
approval. Motion duly made by Councilman Walls these minutes
stand approved as submitted, seconded by Councilman Cairnie and
by vote CARRIED. The roll call vote was unanimous.

Motion duly made by Councilman Walls these bills be paid and
be made a part of the minutes, seconded by Councilman Bebbington
and by vote CARRIED. The roll call vote was unanimous.
OFFICERS REPORTS
Certification of Posting dated December 6th, 1966,was read.
Certification of Bids dated December 19th, 1966, was read. (Police Car)
Certification of Bids dated December 19th, 1966, was read. (Panel Truck)
Clerk's Cash Statement for November, 1966, was read.
The Budget Report for November, 1966, was read.
The Library Report for November, 1966, was read.
The Police Report for November, 1966, was read.
Mayor Tingle expressed his appreciation to all Departments for
the above reports.
COMMUNICATIONS
Motion duly made by Councilman Walls we table the 1965-66
Audit Report until January 3rd, 1967, seconded by Councilman
Cairnie and by vote CARRIED. The roll call vote was unanimous.
Mayor Tingle said the reason for this was to give the Council
a chance to read the report and see if they had any questions.

RESOLUTIONS
None
OLD BUSINESS
Since the Council thought there might be a need for the
City to have a Station Wagon, they decided not to open the
bids on the Police Car.
Motion duly made by Councilman Cairnie we rebid for a Police Car
and also for a Station Wagon; bids to be turned in by 4:00 P.M.
January 16th, 1967, seconded by Councilman Walls and by vote
CARRIED. The roll call vote was unanimous.
The council requested that Mr. Hilton write to all those who
bid on the Police Car and explain why their bids were not opened.
Bid on 1956 Ford Courier Panel Truck.

Motion duly made by Councilman Walls the bid of $27.00 for the
1956 Ford Courier Panel Truck be accepted, seconded by Councilman
Bebbington and by vote CARRIED. The roll call vote was unanimous.
NEW BUSINESS
Motion duly made ~y Councilman Walls the City Clerk be authorized
to advertise for bids on gasoline and diesel fuel oil; bids to be
returned by 4:00 P.M. January 3rd, 1967, seconded by Councilman
Cairnie and by vote CARRIED. The roll call vote was unanimous.

MISCELLANEOUS

Mayor Tingle announced that City Hall will be closed
December 26th and January 2nd for Christmas and New Years.
Councilman Cairnie said Bingo Games have been stopped again.
He said this was the only County in the State where you can
not have Bingo.
Councilman Walls said Square rances will start 8:00 P.M. Friday.
Councilman Cairnie said the Children's Christmas Party will
be 2:00 P.M. Friday.
The next meeting of the City Council will be January 3rd, 1967
at 7:30 P.M.
There being no further business, motion duly made by Councilman
Walls we now adjourn, seconded by Councilman Bebbington and there
were no objections.
