The special meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, F1orida~ was called to order by Mayor William H. Cairnie at 9:30 A.M. October 14, 1968, in the office of the Mayor. Heath RESOLUTION # 254 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF NIEBURGER CHEVROLET COMPANY OF NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FLORIDA FOR A POLICE CAR, AS PER SPECIFICA- TIONS, FOR THE SUM OF $1,880.00. Present Present Absent Present Present Absent Excused The foregoing Resolution was read in full by City Clerk Elsie L.Ward and upon motion duly made by Councilman Norman and seconded by Councilman Dietz this Resolution be adopted and passed by vote of the City Council at a Special Meeting held October 14, 1968. The roll call vote was as follows: Councilman Norman Councilman Dimm Councilman Dietz Mayor Cairnie Yea Yea Yea Yea RESOLUTION #255 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF MOTOROLA COMMUNICATION AND ELECTRONICS INC. FOR FURNISHING AND INSTALLING ONE 40 WATT TRANSISTOR- IZED CONSOLETTE BASE STATION WITH DESK MICROPHONE AND PANEL MOUNTED 24 HOUR CLOCK, BASE STATION EQUIPPED WITH TWO FREQUENCY OPTION FOR THE TOTAL PRICE OF $756.00, REJECTING ALL OTHER BIOS. The foregoing Resolution was read in full by City Clerk Elsie L. Ward and upon motion duly made by Councilman Norman and seconded by Councilman Dietz this Resolution be adopted and passed by vote of the City Council at a Special Meeting held October 14, 1968. Councilman Dimm suggested the possibility of an auction to the lowest bidder. Mayor Cairnie said since Motorola had our maintenance contract, he was sure they would install the new unit and assume responsibility. Maynor Cairnie assured Mr. Wiggans that the range of the unit would cover the entire City of Edgewater. RESOLUTION #256 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING AND DESIGNATION GAIL V. ALDERMAN AS DEPUTY CLERK FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA AND SETTING FORTH HER DUTIES AND COMPENSATION. The foregoing Resolution was read in full by City Clerk Elsie L. Ward and upon motion duly made by Councilman Dimm and seconded by Councilman Norman this Resolution be adopted and passed by vote of the City Council at a Special Meeting held October 14, 1968.
