01-29-1968 - Special '"' u (.) o , I U SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA HELD JANUARY 29th, 1968. , . ~ The Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida held January 29th, 1968 was called to order by Mayor William H. Cairnie at 9:15 A.M. in the Mayor's office. The meeting was called by Mayor Cairnie for the following purpose: ~ , (; To terminate the employment of Michael McCumber as patrolman and appoint Norman J. Witmeyer Present Present Absent Present Present Present Present Present Present ORDINANCE NO. 588 TERMINATING THE EMPLOYMENT OF MICHAEL McCUMBER AS PATROLMAN FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, EFFECTIVE JANUARY 29, 1968. The above Ordinance was read in full by City Attorney Hall and motion duly made by Councilman Dietz this Ordinance be adopted, seconded by Councilman Norman and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at the special meeting held January 29th, 1968. The roll call vote was unanimous. Upon motion duly made by Councilman Dietz, seconded by Councilman Norman the requirement of reading Ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance ordered put into effect immediately at the special meeting of the City Council held January 29th, 1968. The roll call vote was unanimous. Motion was duly made by Councilman Norman that the City hire Norman J. McCall as a Special Officer on a temporary basis at the rate of $1.50 per hour to be effective immediately and that the City Attorney be authorized to draw up a Resolution to that effect, seconded by Councilman Dietz and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a Special meeting held January 29th, 1968. The roll call vote was unanimous. There being no further business, motion was duly made by Councilman Norman to adjourn, seconded by Councilman Dietz and there were no objections.
