12-14-1967 - Special 'r U f .' - o () o SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA HELD DECEMBER 14, 1967. The Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida was called to order by Mayor William H. Cairnie at 9:00 A.M. in the Community Center. The meeting was called by Mayor Cairnie for the following purposes: To award the insurance bid. To open bids received on a new police car. ROLL CALL Mayor William H. Cairnie Councilman Francis H. RESOLUTION NO. 212 ACCEPTING THE BID OF THE J. E. TUMBLIN AGENCY REPRESENTING INSURANCE COMPANY OF NORTH AMERICA FOR A PACKAGE INSURANCE POLICY FOR IHE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA CONTAINING COMPREHENSIVE GENERAL LIABILITY INCLUDING VEHICLE COVERAGE, WORK- MEN'S COMPENSATION AND EMPLOYEES' LIABILITY, PROPERTY INSURANCE, BONDS AND HEALTH AND ACCIDENT INSURANCE FOR THE VOLUNTEER FIREMEN, FOR THE POLICY YEAR EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 19, 1967 TO DECEMBER 19, 1968 AT 12:01 A.M. FOR THE BASE BID AND REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS. The above Resolution was read in full by City Attorney Hall and upon motion duly made by Councilman Dimm this Resolution be adopted, seconded by Councilman Dietz and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at the Special Meeting held December 14, 1967. Motion was duly made by Councilman Ddetz that the City ask the Tumblin Agency for a binder on LaBonde until it can be studied further, seconded by Councilman Norman and by vote CARRIED. The roll call vote was unanimous. OLD BUSINESS Bids were opened for the Police Car and read as follows: Dean Martin Dodge $1,985.00 2,100.00 Watkins Ford to lease a car over a two year period plus 3t per mile over 60,000 miles. Motion was d~ly made by Councilman Dimm that these bids be tabled for further investigation, seconded by Councilman Norman and by vote CARRIED. The roll call vote was unanimous. 124.00 mo.
