SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA
HELD JULY 11, 1969
A Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida was called to order by Mayor William H. Cairnie at 10:00
A. M. July 11, 1969 after all Councilmen at the preceding special
meeting had agreed to waive the twelve hour notice. A waiver was
to be prepared for Councilman Norman to sign due to his absence
at the preceding meeting. The purpose of this meeting was to have
a motion made to re-advertise for bids to construct a fishing pier,
the previous low bid having been rejected due to a technical mis-
understanding of the bidder, Frank H. Springer Constructing Co.
of Port Orange, Florida.

A motion was duly made by Councilman Dietz and seconded by Council-
man Dinun to re-advertise for bids on the fishing pier. More detailed
and understandable specifications to be written up by Councilman
Dietz and Nat Brittingham, President of the Chamber of Conunerce.
Sealed bids to be returned by 4:00 P.M. August 4, 1969 and opened
at the regular meeting of the City Council at 7:30 P.M. Specifications
to be ready by 10:00 A.M. July 17, 1969 in the office of the City
Clerk. The motion by roll call vote carried.
