RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL BIDS HERETOFORE RECEIVED BY THE CITY OF
EDGEWATER PURSUANT TO INVITATION TO BID FOR CONSTRUCTION AND IN
STALLATION OF A FISHING PIER OR FISHING WHARF IN THE CITY OF EDGE-
WATER.
The above Resolution was read by City Attorney Charles A. Hall. This
Resolution was necessa~ because of a technicality in the specifica-
tions, the length of the pier being mistaken for 100 feet instead of
168 feet by the low bidder, Frank H. Springer Construction Company.
A motion was made by Councilman Dietz and seconded by Councilman
Ledbetter to adopt the above Resolution and the motion upon roll call
vote carried. Councilman Dimm voting Nay.
A discussion followed regarding the calling of another Special meeting
to make a motion to re-advertise for new bids on the fishing pier. In
order to call a special meeting immediately, all Councilmen present
agreed to waive the twelve hour notice required by the charter to hold
a Special meeting with the provision that a waiver be signed by Council-
man Norman, who was absent at the Special meeting. Roll call vote was
unanimous and the meeting followed immediately.
