SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA
HELD NOVEMBER 22, 1968
The Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida was called to order by Mayor William H. Cairnie at 9:30 A.M.
November 22, 1968, in the office of the Mayor.

RESOLUTION NO. 269. A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE BOARD OF
GOVERNORS FOR THE COMMUNITY CENTER OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA
AND FIXING THE TERM OF OFFICE FOR THE SAME.
The foregoing Resolution was read in full by City Clerk Elsie L. Ward
and upon Motion duly made by Councilman Ledbetter, second by Council-
man Norman this Resolution be adopted and by roll call vote CARRIED.
Councilman Dietz voted nay.
There was a call for questions by Mayor William H. Cairnie.
Councilman Dietz, IIWhat about Mr. Frank Pasch?1I
Mayor Cairnie, IIMr Pasch didn't resign.1I
Councilman Dietz, III would like to read from the Charter:
SECTION 34. SPECIAL MEETINGS, HOW CALLED. The Mayor
or any three members of the City Council may call
Special Meetings of the City Council upon~at least
twelve hours' written notice to each member, served
personally, or left at his usual place of residence.
Meetings to be public. All Meetings of the City
Council and of the committees thereof shall be public,
and any citizen shall have access to the minutes and
records thereof at all resonable times. The City
Council shall determine its own rules and order of
business and shall keep a journal of its proceedings.

Special Meeting of the Board of Governors?1I
Councilman Norman and Councilman Dimm answered NO!
Councilman Dietz, IIWhat kind of commitment was made to the Board
of Governors?1I
Mayor Cairnie and Councilman Ledbetter both stated that no commitment
was made.

Mayor Cairnie to Councilman Dietz: "You protest the meeting, Let
it be understood that this was not a meeting but a gathering of
men."
Councilman Dietz, "Sol have to vote on something I know nothing
about?"
Councilman Norman, "I didn't know about the meeting either!"
Councilman Dimm, "If anyone of these people who were appointed to
the Board of Governors today refuses to accept or for any reason
later on resignes or dies then the new appointment will be made by the
Councilman who representes the Zone involved." This was confirmed by
Maynor Cairnie.
Councilman Dietz, "Why is there so many members on the Board?"

There being no further business motion was duly made by Councilman
Norman, second by Councilman Ledbetter the Special Meeting of the
