Cairnie; the purpose of this meeting being the canvassing of absentee ballots of the Regular Election held November 4, 1969. ROLL CALL Mayor William H. Cairnie Councilman Francis H. Heath CERTIFICATION OF BALLOTS Present Present Absent Present Present Present Present Present Present The Certification of Absentee Ballots received and the names of the individuals of each was read in full by City Clerk Elsie L. Ward. Absentee ballots were opened by City Clerk and the City Attorney, Charles A. Hall, after which the City Clerk read each ballot aloud; City Attorney Charles A. Hall recorded same. RESOLUTIONS RESOLUTION NO. 314: A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF A REGULAR ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, ON NOVEMBER 4, 1969, TO ELECT A MAYOR AND COUNCILMEN FROM ZONES 1 AND 3; DECLARING THE RESULTS OF A SPECIAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, ON NOVEMBER 4, 1969, TO DECIDE THE QUESTIONS OF AMENDMENT TO THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER TO PROVIDE AN INCREASE IN SALARY FOR THE MAYOR AND COUNCILMEN, AND PROVIDE A METHOD OR MEANS OF ENFORCING LIENS ACQUIRED FOR LOT CLEARANCE; AND DECLARING THE RESULT OF A SPECIAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, ON NOVEMBER 4, 1969, TO DETERMINE THE QUESTION OF WHETHER CERTAIN LAND OWNED BY ROSS O. SULLIVAN SHOULD BE ANNEXED INTO THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THEREFOR. The above stated Resolution and results of same was read in its entirety by City Attorney Charles A. Hall. Upon completion of the reading of Resolution No. 314, a motion was duly made by Councilman Norman to adopt this Resolution. Motion was seconded by Councilman Dimm. Upon roll call vote the motion CARRIED. There being no further business, Councilman Dietz moved to recess the meeting until 7:30 P.M., Wednesday, November 5, 1969.
