MOTORCYCLE OFFICER FROM THE HIGHWAY.

The nuostion of removing Offioer Edio from the highway was discussed at length"
Officer Baie was then called before the Counoil and tho reason for his removal
form the highway were disoussed, after which officer Edie was given tho opportun-
ity ~f rosigning. Offioer Bdio asked if th~t meant that he would be discharged
if he did not rosign. CounCilman Todd ~nswered that the Council had taken no
action as yot. Offic~t_~die said that und0r the circumstanoes all he could do
was to rosign.Counoilman Kuhlhoff told officer ~cria to think this over and be
sure that to rosign was what ho wanted, officer Zdio ropliod that it was and told
the council that he wishod to resign.
Councilman Todd movod that officer Edio's resignation bo accepted, soconded by
Mnyor-Councilman Fullor,a roll oall vote resultin as follows;

The Question of paying a months salary to Offocer Edie in liou of notice was
discussed. The Clerk was instructod to find out from Attorney Fronch if tho
Council had a right to pay this salary. 70P~
Officor Edie askod if he might withdraw his rosignation and requested Councilman^
to rosind his motiDn to accop~ his resignation, Councilman Todd replied that ho
could seo no roason fer doing so.
