Clerk road his cnsh statement and budget report fer the period November 1st to
November 30th, 1949.
Clerk reported on the petitions presented to the Council at the meeting held
November 23, 1949,that altho all signers were tax payers neither petitien was signel
signed by 56% of the registered voters of the Town.
COMMUNICATIONS.
A letter from Chief Forroria of the Now Smyrna Police Dopartment was road asking
for the exchance of Specinl Police cards between tho police officers of New Smyrna
Beach and Bdgewater. After some discussion Councilman Kuhlhoff moved that no pOlice
cards be issued by the Town of Edgowater )0 tho police of Hew Smyrna Beach .This
motion was not seconded, Councilman Todd moved that this motion bo laid on the
tnble) secondea by IhyoI'-Connc ilnul ?ullor and by vote declared CARRIED. A roml

Clerk read a letter from Attorney Ray Seldon representing Jack Edie in the matter oj
of his discharge from thr enploy of the Town of Edgewater. This letter is attached

U~yor Fuller announced that tho hall on tho second floor of tho Town Hall had boon
condemned by the Assistant Firo M~rshal and therefoe could not be used. Mayor
li'uller asked Mrs, Swinoy if she thought tho young poople would bo interosted in
?sin~ the fire statien~s a meeting place now that thoro regular place was closed.
urs Swiney replied that~a"cencre~fleor would not be geod for dancing it might be
well for the young peoplo to wait until whatever changes wero neoessa~y to m~ko
tho hall safo had boen m~de. Mrs. Asper who assists Mrs. Swinoy felt tho same way.
