The minutes of the regular meeting held July 12, 1950 were read. Councilman Todd
moved they be approved as read, seconded by Mayor-Councilman Fuller and by vote

Clerk read a lettercfrom J. C. Ferris City Manager of the City of New Smyrna
Beach estimating the cost of the recreational program of the City at $1500.00
and assumeing a 10% participation by the children of Edgewater the cost to
Edgewater would be $150.00. Mayor-Councilman Fuller reported--that according to
Manager Ferris since that letter was written,he had been handed a check from the
County for $500.00 and that it was optional with Edgewater whether they do or do
not pay, but in the opinion of Mayor-Councilman Fuller Edgewater should pay at
leas~ a nominal sum. Councilman Todd moved that the Town of Edgewater send a check
for ~50.00 to the City of New Smyrna Beach, seconded by Mayor-Councilman Fuller
and by vote CARIUlm. Mayor-Councilman Fuller Yes

Clerk read a letter from Phillip Adams of Pine Bluff St. calling attention to the
fact that two lots to the east of his property are a fire hazzard and asking the
Town to have these lots cleaned as soon as possible. Council instructed the Clerk
to notify Fire Chief Bane to investigate the condition of these lots and report
to the Council.

Clerk presented to the Council an estimate of revenue other than from taxes
levied and a suggested tentative budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1,
1950 and ending September 30, 1951. Councilman Todd moved these be accepted and
made part of these minutes, seconded by Mayor-Councilman Fuller and by vote
CARRIED
