The minutes of the regular meeting held July 26, 1950 were read.Councilman Todd
moved they be approved as read, Seconded by Mayor-Councilman Fuller and by vote
CARRIED. Mayor-Councilman Fuller Yes.

Attorney Hawkins reported that the law allows two exemptions on property owned
by two par-ties when they live on the property, also that the Council had the
right to levy taxes but there was no law that compelled the Coun~il to levy a
tax if they felt ~ a tax was not necessary.
Attorney Hawkins reported that no decis10n had been in the injuction smit but, on
instruction of the Jydge both Attorne~s were to prepare new briefs and file them
ready for him when he returned from his vacation.

A letter was read from Commissioner Saxon to the Tovln Council that he was to begin
work on the River road and that Mr. edwards was to remove trees along the right of
way. Councilman Todd moved that the Clerk write to Commissioner Saxon to contact
Mr Ed,vards and tell him to proceed with this work under the conditions outlined in
the letter from 6ommissioner Saxon to the Town Council, seconded by Councilman
Kuhlhoff and by vote 6ARRIED.A copy of this letter is attached and made part,of

A communication in the form of a cantract between the Town of Edgewater and
Russell & Axon was read, relative to engineering services in a preliminary survey
on a waterworks system for the Town of Edgewater was read.
After Borne discussion the Council decided to hold this until the next meeting
that it might have time to further consider this matter before taking action.
There being no further business Councilman Todd moved that
seconded by Councilman Kuhlhoff andby vote CARRIED.
