REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA, HELD IN THE CITY HALL SEPTEMBER 12, 1951.
ROLL CALL.
Meeting called to order at 7:35 P. M. by Mayor-Councilman E. P. Fuller.
READING OF MINUTES.

The minutes of the regular meeting held August 22. 1951 and the special meeting
held September 10, 1951 were read. Councilman Friedley moved they be approved as
read, seconded by Councilman Gibbs and by vote CARRIED.
Clerk reported that the Election ~oard had turned over to him Ballot Box No3, the
Official Registration Book and the envelpoe containing the Certificate of Electior
which reports that that 339votes were cast at the special election held on
September 11, 1951, 191 votes for the Charter and 146 against the Charter 2 votes
being void. This certificate is attached and made part of these minutes.
RESOLUTION.

Motion was duly seconded by Councilman Gibbs and upon Roll Call vote being taken
the same was declared adopted this 12 day of September A. D. 1951, the vote of c~

Attorney Hawkins expressed the oplnlon that the City of Edgewater shoild operate
under the ordinances as passed by the Town of Edgewater, until after the annual
election to be held November 6, 1951 when the new Council will be in office.
Attorney Hawkins to dra\v up an ordinance to continue the Town of Edgewater
ordinances in force until they are amended or cancelled.
RESOLUTION.

SPECIAL AND EXTRAORDINARY EXPENSES FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY,
FLORIDA, FOR THE YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER-Il .ST, A. D. 1951 AND ENDING SEPTE~J3ER 30

The above and foregoingRESOLUTION was introduced by Councilman Gibbs who moved
its adoption, which Motion was seconded by Councilman Friedley, and upon a roll
call vote the same was deolared adopted unanimously, the vote of the Council bein
being as follows, at a regular meeting of said City Council, held at the V. I. A
or City Hall this 12th day of September, A. D. 1951.

Upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the requirement ofread-
ing said ordinance upon second r.eading was waived and the ordinance was ordered p
put upon final passage. .

FOR NOTICES OF SUCH ELECTION. '
