Declaring Question - Special Election - 09-11-1951 - 07-25-1951 ~ v \.i u -,., u RESOLUTION IN DECLARING THE QUEST ION TO BE VOTED UPON BY THE VOTERS OF THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER) VOLUSIA COUNTY) FLORIDA) AT A SPECIAL ELECT ION TO BE HELD SEPTEMBER 11TH, AND PROVIDING FOR THE PREPARATION AND THE PRINTING OF BALLOTS FOR SAID ELECTION. WHEREAS, The Town Counc 11 of the Town of Edgewater, Florida, has called a Special Election to be held on september 11th, 1951 for the purpose of voting upon the Adoption of a Special Charter for the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida,an~ WHEREAS, the question to be determined by the vot ers of said Town is whether said Special Charter shall be adopted or reject- ed by a majority vote of persons voting in election to be held as hereinabove set forth; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That the question be voted upon is as follows: Shall there be adopted by the voters of the Town of Edgewater, Florida, a Special Chart er as heretofore passed by the Legis- lature of the state of Florida, change said Town to the City of Edgewater, Florida, and confer certain powers thereon? Against For SECTION 2. That there shall be printed 650 l' official ballots with two stubs at the top, with perforations so that both may be readily torn from the ballot, upon unglazed white paper, for the use of the qualified electors in the Special Town Election aforesaid, and that the said official ballot shall be in sub- stantially the following form: .... ....,; 'wi ..." ~ o FFIC IAt BALLOT SPEC IAL ELECT ION SEPT EMBER 11 I 1951 TOWN OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY I FLORIDA.
