JII \., ~ .~, v U .~ \ \ SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOvlli OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA HELD IN THE TOWN HALL JULY 16, 1951, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PREPARING THE BALLOT BOX FOR THE SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD July 17, 1951. The meeting w~s called to order at 7:30 P. M. by Mayor-Councilman Fuller. ROLL CALL Mayor-Councilman Fuller Councilman R. T. Friedley Deputy Clerk B. B. Sargent Police Officer Geo. Lear Pres~nt Present Present Present The oath was administered as Clerk of Election to Mrs. Florence B. Swiney and as Inspectors of Election to Mrs. Ethel Lear, Mrs. Vera J. McLane and Mrs. Olive Parker. Whereupon Ballot Box Number 3 was produced, opened and the con- tents destroyed. The Council then proceeded to prepare Ballot Box #3 for the Special Election and placed the following articles therein: 1. 1 Certified copy of registered electors. 2. The Official Registration Book 3. 2 Talley Sheets 4. 2 Official return certificates 5. 1 blank Poll List 6. 4 Pencils 7. 2 Stick files 8. 6 Instructions to Voters 9. 2 Envelopes for certificates of returns 10. 1 piece of sealing wax 11. 1 strip of gummed paper 12. 1 Envelope for ballot box keys 13. 6 Blank affidavits for challenged voters 14. ~7 Absentee ballots 15. 923 Official Ballots Whereupon Ballot Box No. 3 was locked and sealed by the Council and the oath as Custodian of the Ballot Box and the keys thereof was administered to Mrs. Florence B. Swiney, the Box and keys thereof then being delivered to lf~s. Swiney. All the above oaths are attached and made part of these minutes.
